The 125 Foundation helps support Brathay Trust

Cirencester Friendly’s 125 Foundation Committee is pleased to announce it’s support for the Brathay Trust, by donating funds to help upgrade a bedroom for disabled use within Old Brathay Hall.

The Brathay Trust’s mission is to improve the life chances of children, young people and families by inspiring them to engage positively in their communities. They work throughout the UK to inspire people and organisations to achieve and deliver results. Their expert teams engage and encourage people of all ages and background to discover the Brathay effect, enthused by their belief in the transformational power of people working together. The project supported by the 125 Foundation will make the facilities more accessible to a wider variety of users, especially those with physical challenges. Scott Umpleby, Brathay Trust said: ”Our experience of the grant application process and support provided by the 125 Foundation has been very positive. The process is delivered with the charity/beneficiary in mind and is clear and easy to follow. The support the Foundation has provided will make Brathay’s provision of residential personal development accessible to young people with particular physical needs”.

Kate McIntyre, Non-Executive Director at Cirencester Friendly said: “I am absolutely delighted that Cirencester Friendly’s 125 Foundation has been able to support the wonderful work of the Brathay Trust. Brathay’s mission to help disadvantaged young people to gain life skills, to increase their self-esteem and to find their way in a complex and sometimes overwhelming world, is very much in line with Cirencester Friendly’s business values and their aspiration to do good in the community. We hope and expect that this donation by the Cirencester Friendly 125 Foundation will make Brathay’s life-changing work accessible to an even wider range of young people and especially to those who have even greater challenges to overcome.”
